Raster Design/ Rubbersheeting

I am using a computer in the lab and I am not able to rubersheet my image. In step 5, the instructions say "If your computer has Raster Design on in you will see that a new splash screen will appear. If you do not have the softwar then nothing will happen." If nothing happens and the screen does not appear, suggesting that the computer does not have Raster Design, what action should be taken?

First Cad Assignment: Step 19

Hi ~

I have two questions about Step 19 of the first CAD assignment-- (1) the lines that must be traced and (2) the outcome of the offsetting.

(1) When recreating the lines that define my block, should I be tracing/creating a closed rectangle or merely focusing on the lines that define 300 S Bainbridge precisely?

(2) As far as offsetting is concerned, I'm not sure what the final image should look like. I wasnt sure which side of the line I was offsetting to, where to click my cursor. [I think I am aiming for a kind of concentric rectangular arrangement...]

Thanks so much for your help!

Rectifying Maps- Copy/Pasting Sanborn

[I emailed Meghan about this earlier but I'm posting it here as well.]

I am having problems with Step #7-- copy/pasting the corrected Sanborn into the cropped/straightened PDF file [which I opened and saved in Photoshop under another name.] When I pasted the selected area of the photograph onto the cropped PDF, the image just became white, taking away the red lines of the PDF. Under step #7 it says to "make sure that you are in the correct layer and simply hit ctrl-C." In the photo file, I have the layer of the photo image itself highlighted. [There are no other layers present.]What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!
Andrea

Photoshop-Adjusting Within An Adjustment

Regarding the first Photoshop asignment:
I adjusted the brightness/contrast in a selected area to rid the photo of the shadow. How do I adjust just that portion of the photo again for color balance?
